Potato Dumplings in Jarlsburg Parmesan Sauce

- 1 cup potato flakes
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light cream or half & half
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Jarlsburg cheese
- dash Sandwich Sprinkle
- Prepare potato flakes according to directions.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Mix mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and Sandwich Sprinkle in a medium mixing bowl. Place mixture into a (quart/gallon-sized) plastic bag. Cut off one of the corners of the bag.
- Squeeze 1/2-inch portions of the mixture into the boiling water. Remove to a 9 by 9 inch baking dish when dumplings float.
- Melt butter in skillet.
- Add onion powder, flour, cream or half-and-half, and broth. Stir continuously until thickened.
- Remove from heat. Stir in half of cheeses.
- Pour sauce over dumplings, then top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Determine correct size of zip-lock bag when making.
