Potato Dumplings in Jarlsburg Parmesan Sauce

Steps
  1. Prepare potato flakes according to directions.
  2. Preheat oven to 350.
  3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  4. Mix mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and Sandwich Sprinkle in a medium mixing bowl. Place mixture into a (quart/gallon-sized) plastic bag. Cut off one of the corners of the bag.
  5. Squeeze 1/2-inch portions of the mixture into the boiling water. Remove to a 9 by 9 inch baking dish when dumplings float.
  6. Melt butter in skillet.
  7. Add onion powder, flour, cream or half-and-half, and broth. Stir continuously until thickened.
  8. Remove from heat. Stir in half of cheeses.
  9. Pour sauce over dumplings, then top with the remaining cheese.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes.
