Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles

  1. Cook the noodles according to package
  2. instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over
  4. medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook
  5. until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  6. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  7. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the beef
  8. and optional red pepper and cook for 1-2
  9. minutes until fragrant.
  10. Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and brown
  11. sugar. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce
  12. thickens slightly.
  13. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet,
  14. coating them in the beef and sauce mixture.
  15. Garnish with chopped green onions, red
  16. pepper flakes (if using), and sesame seeds
  17. before serving.
