Yield: 8
- 3 cups hot water
- 8 ounces fat-free shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 lbs chicken breast, cubed
- 3 (12-ounce) jars fat-free chicken gravy
- 1/2 bag Green Giant™ Steamers™ frozen mixed vegetables, Market Blend
- 1/2 bag Green Giant™ Steamers™ frozen mixed vegetables, Backyard Grilled Potatoes
- 1 (12-ounce) bag eggless dumplings (Use only No Yolk)
- 4 apples, cored and sliced
- 2 tbsp butter or butter sprinkles
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (dark) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- Spray a slow cooker with nonfat cooking spray. In the slow cooker mix together the water, cheese, chicken breast, gravy, and vegetables.
- Add the Spiced Apples Pocket Pouch at this time if you are making them with this entree.
- Lay two 18-24 inch pieces of aluminum foil on the counter, overlapping lengthwise by about 1/2 inch. Fold over the overlapping portion twice to form a tight seam. Press the foil into the slow cooker to form a bowl. Spray the inside of the foil with cooking spray. Place the ingredients for the spiced apples into the bowl, then fold closed tightly.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Remove the spiced apples from the slow cooker. Turn to high, cover, and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the dumplings, making sure dumplings are completely covered with liquid. Continue cooking for 1/2 hour more or until the dumplings are tender.
